Ted was a dweeby high schooler who was going to the prom with one of the most pretty and popular girls at his school. Her name was Mary. The prom date didn't really work out because Ted had a different kind of accient. Thirteen years later he is still in love with Mary. He wants to find her so he hires a private detective, he discovers that he is also in love with Mary. So the detective gives Ted bogus info about Mary to keep him away from her. But Ted ends up finding her anyways. Making for a very funny movie.
